DIRECTING & CINEMATOGRAPHY

Short Stack Productions is led by the Director / Cinematographer duo of Owen Smith and David Aponas. Together they oversee all aspects of the creative process to execute your project's needs; and with a network of experienced craftspeople to call on, no project is too big or small.

Whether you call it a pancake or a pikelet, the ingredients are all the same.

CAMERA & LIGHTING

Short Stack Productions is passionate about creating beautiful images. While the story, themes and messages of your project are most important, exceptional lighting and camerawork is the strawberry on top.

Our range of professional camera and lighting equipment is coupled with our innovative approach to give every project its own special flavour.

MUSIC & SOUND

Owen and David both completed their film degree with a minor in sound design and production. As such, they have great appreciation for the importance of capturing high quality audio and ensure it is always given careful consideration.

They are also multi-instrumentalist musicians and have written and recorded music for both live performance and film. Sounds delicious.

POST PRODUCTION & DELIVERY

We take pride in our editing and colour grading. This final stage can play an enormous role in creating the overall look and feel of a production, which is why we use industry standard programs such as DaVinci Resolve and the full Adobe Creative Cloud suite to ensure highest quality deliverables.

Films are like a stack of pancakes; a neatly assembled one will have a better chance of being shared on social media.
